We're hiring

Wordpress / Vue.js Developer

WordPress has been given a bad wrap in recent years, but we believe it’s one of the most powerful Content Management Systems when it’s done right. We’re on the hunt for a WordPress and VueJS extraordinaire to join our team and build incredible online experiences for our clients.

We exist to create the best of the web.

To do that, we need our team to be world class. Tackling the real-world challenges that our clients throw at us requires an attention-to-detail, a logical mindset and the ability to see a problem for what it is. And that is hard to find.

It may sound like a lofty ambition, but Many exists to make the world a better place. We’ll do that by partnering with incredible clients – ones that want to enhance human kind, rather than make a quick buck. Ones that care about the quality of their product. Ones that understand the impact their products have on people and the environment, and continually strive to be better.

In return, we build those clients best-in-breed online experiences that elevate their brand above the noise.

We’re only a small team at the moment, but with a series of really successful client wins and project launches that are blowing away all other results, we’re ready to start our expansion.

That's where you come in.

We build amazing online experiences for both established and thriving, up-and-coming challenger brands. We’re looking for someone that knows WordPress intimately, that understands how to build high performance applications in Vue.JS and how to create well-structured APIs with Node / Express.  We’re not talking about copy-and-paste off the shelf themes here: everything we do is bespoke, from design through development through launch; we handle everything ourselves, so we can be sure of the quality.

You’ll need an architect’s brain, continually striving to understand, design and simplify complex problems. Our entire culture is built around making technology understandable, making the complex simple and employing critical thinking to solve problems. In fact, we place a huge emphasis on the culture we’re trying to build – you can read our culture deck here.

Day-to-day, you’ll be working in a variety of frameworks: Vue.js, WordPress, WooCommerce, Laravel and Node / Express. You’ll work with our client services team to scope the website plans, designers to iterate on design decisions and with our marketing team to ensure everything is well optimised perfectly structured.

You’ll report directly to the Managing Director but you’ll be able to manage your own workload – it’ll be fairly automomous. You’ll help the team to strategise, plan and prepare for growth, whilst covering the day-to-day development needs. You’ll need to be a good multitasker – that’s for sure, and organisation is key. You’ll be based in our Bournemouth office, but we travel to where our clients are – nationally and internationally. At the moment, we’re not considering remote roles due to the collaborative nature of the work we do.

We’re looking for someone that fits the bill:

  • 2+ years of WordPress and VueJS experience (these are our main frameworks)
  • WooCommerce experience preferred, but not essential.
  • Some experience maintaining LAMP hosting stacks in AWS / Digital Ocean, preferably Ubuntu.
  • An ability to present complex theories and concepts to a non-technical audience
  • The ability to develop and code review highly-optimised, cross-browser and elegant code
  • An appetite for open-source contribution and for engaging with a community
  • A willingness to teach skills and knowledge to less experienced developers and to provide thorough and constructive feedback
  • An understanding of agile project management and associated toolsets

Maybe you’ve got a degree in computer science or maybe you’re self-taught – it doesn’t matter to us. All we care about is if you’re passionate about what you do, why you do it, and how what you do makes things better.

For the right candidate, we’ll provide great benefits in return. A salary of £25,000 – £38,000 and we’ll give you a stake in the success – profit shares, an excellent pension, private medical cover, 35 days holiday and the opportunity to become part of and ultimately build a team of incredible people around you.

But more importantly, you’ll shape your own future – everything is on the table for improvement, and you can lead this. Process, procedures, coding guidelines – you’ll take an active part in the betterment of all of this.

Feel like you're the perfect fit?

Send us your CV and an introduction email, and let’s get the ball rolling. Sorry, no recruiters.
